Low Slope Roofing
If your home has a flat roof, asphalt shingles are not an appropriate product. For pitches less than 2/12, we recommend Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO), a commercial application suitable for residential homeowners. TPO is a rubberized synthetic single-ply membrane that is flexible and welded together with hot-air. TPO is hail and puncture-resistant and its white reflective colour reduces your roof’s surface temperature. It’s a safe and sustainable solution for your flat or low-slope roof.
We also service multi-family buildings and commercial flat roofs. Whether you want to repair an old flat roof or install a new roof for your home or business, AKRoN Roofing is here to help you. We can inspect, repair, and replace flat roofs throughout Calgary and surrounding areas.
AKRoN Roofing can install both Firestone Ultraply TPO and Johns Manville TPO membrane systems to give you a better UV resistant, efficient, and environment-friendly roofing solution that provides puncture and hail resistance. Johns Manville and Firestone Ultraply are the state-of-the-art commercial-grade TPO membrane options for better weather-resistant quality and durability for your roof.
If you have a torch-on roof, metal, BUR, EPDM, or other single ply roofs, our qualified technicians can help assess leak points and repair the roof to extend its life. By applying Inland Coating’s RC2250 rubberized compound, we can seal up leak points, penetrations, and seams in a simple, timely and affordable manner. This option leaves you with a strong and flexible membrane repair solution for seams and other penetrations on your roof.
For low slope and flat roof areas, Two-Ply roofing systems are one of our recommended applications. This system features a self-adhering base and cap sheet. These sheets are made of a polymer (SBS rubberized) asphalt. The cap sheets are available in in a variety of colours that are close to typical asphalt shingle colours. We use both Malarkey Omniseal and Polyglass Elastoflex systems.
Call AKRON to discuss options for your next low-slope roofing solution. We’ll assess your project and recommend the best solution to protect your home.
