Operations Technician – Roofing & Construction
AKRoN Roofing – Calgary & Area
AKRoN Roofing is a family-owned roofing company that has proudly served Calgary and surrounding communities since 2011. We specialize in premium residential roofing systems and are known for our quality workmanship, customer service, and professional team.
We're looking for a dependable, organized Operations Technician to support our roofing crews and help keep projects running smoothly. This is a hands-on position that combines driving, logistics, inventory management, equipment maintenance, and jobsite support. No two days are exactly the same.
What You'll Do
- Deliver roofing materials, tools, and equipment to job sites.
- Pick up materials from suppliers and return unused materials.
- Maintain warehouse organization and inventory.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks and trailers.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of company trucks, trailers, and equipment.
- Complete monthly vehicle and trailer inspections.
- Support production staff with jobsite logistics and quality control.
- Assist with dump runs and material recycling.
- Help ensure every job has the right materials and equipment at the right time.
- Pitch in wherever needed to support the team.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract.
- Comfortable driving full-size pickup trucks and towing trailers.
- Physically capable of lifting 70 lbs and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Positive attitude, dependable, and able to work independently.
Assets
- Previous construction or roofing experience.
- Mechanically inclined with basic knowledge of vehicle and equipment maintenance.
- Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA) courses such as CSTS 2020, Standard First Aid, or Fall Protection are considered assets.
